Ito's Nonsense: Real Women

Rihanna "We Found Love" Video

Wow, so yesterday I saw the Rihanna "We Found Love" video and was completely taken by it on all aspects. It's a story about how love is like a drug... It's an addiction. It starts with love, then obsession, then violence and then when you finally try to part ways with your lover, you go through withdrawals from the love you once had like a drug addict. At the end of the video Rihanna leaves her love but ends up curled up in a ball herself... It's a tragic tale. Rihanna starts the video with an English accent saying the following <div style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; text-align: center;">"It's like you're screaming and no one can hear. You almost feel ashamed that someone could be that important that without them, you feel like nothing. No one will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel hopeless, like nothing can save you. Then when it's over, and it's gone, you almost wish you could have all that bad stuff back, so that you could have the good." <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i570.photobucket.com/albums/ss143/Nubiasnonsense/Screenshot2011-10-20at124420PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i570.photobucket.com/albums/ss143/Nubiasnonsense/Screenshot2011-10-20at124420PM.png" /></a></div> </div> Some serious deep thoughts right there. This video reminds me A LOT of an old Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish's film in 2006 "<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424880/" style="font-weight: bold;">Candy</a>" Another crazy relationship that came to a tragic end. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i570.photobucket.com/albums/ss143/Nubiasnonsense/2369447dim-600x400mode-exactcenter-512x342.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i570.photobucket.com/albums/ss143/Nubiasnonsense/2369447dim-600x400mode-exactcenter-512x342.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Photo <a href="http://preview2.tvspielfilm.de/">via</a></div> So the real question is.... When is loving someone too much unhealthy? Or is there even such a thing as "healthy" love? I think this is one of Rihanna's best videos yet. Everyone is commenting about how it's her story with Chris Brown, especially since there is a scene in the video where they fought in a car BUT, It's also her realest video in my opinion. All her prior videos have been hot and sexy but this is a story many people can relate to like.... Herself. Fashion: Rihanna wears a whole lot of denim here. I am digging it! I'm a long time denim lover (I wear denim jackets and vest frequently). It's very much my style... as a matter of fact, denim is an essential part of my wardrobe. Urban, stylish and chill. It's an extremely attainable look. I've created a collage for you below for some inspiration. <center><div style="height: 600px; position: relative; width: 600px;"><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/we_found_love_in_hopeless/set?.embedder=715340&.svc=copypaste&id=38427755"><img alt="We Found Love In a Hopeless Place" border="0" height="600" src="http://embed.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-set/cid/38427755/id/gpr45NL64BGUum62tKJaAg/size/y.jpg" title="We Found Love In a Hopeless Place" width="600" /></a></div></center> <center>Finally, Enjoy the video below. Blue Valentine Review

<div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g440/NubiaCmejia/b3-2.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g440/NubiaCmejia/b3-2.jpg" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 600px; height: 775px;" /></a>What is love </div><div style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold;">Oh baby, don't hurt me Don't hurt me no more -Haddaway </div> I think Haddaway had the right idea. I saw Blue Valentine a few days ago directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. The movie was very "real" to say the least. Derek Cianfrance tells the story of a young couple struggling through various ups and downs...but more downs. The film goes back and forth between time periods of a young couples relationship and how they fell in love. Though there are a few blind spots in the plot that leave you wondering, overall I would say the movie was fantastic but very sad in a realistic way. If your looking for your "fairy tale" ending, look away! Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams gave such a raw performance. The chemistry between the two was undeniable. I've been a fan of Gosling for sometime and he delivered as usual. I was very impressed with Williams, It might be her best performance yet in my personal opinion. I've heard people say she wasn't "likeable" in the film but honestly she's not suppose to be. She's a confused young woman looking for more out of life. The movie has a very gloomy and nostalgic scenery. Every scene matched almost to perfection the emotion they were going for. The music selection for the movie was one of my favorite things about it, It has a very 1940's-1950's vibe to it. <a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g440/NubiaCmejia/b2-2.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g440/NubiaCmejia/b2-2.jpg" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 600px; height: 471px;" /></a>All the little details between Dean (Gosling) and Cindy (Williams) were on point. Every little touch, every little stare, every little giggle, I could almost literally see the butterflies flying in the beginning of their romance. But like many young romances... Life and obstacles got in the way and Cindy starting to slowly fall out of Love. Dean was blind to this through the years, and was a hopeless romantic who truly believed love would get them through anything. <a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g440/NubiaCmejia/b1-2.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g440/NubiaCmejia/b1-2.jpg" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 600px; height: 399px;" /></a>Now Dear Readers, I have a question for you all... What does one do to keep to flame lit in your relationship? To keep your heart thumping? It is a hurdle every couple has to eventually overcome. Here are some quick tips I gathered for inspiration to you all. <div style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold;">Ways To Keep Your Relationship Flame Flickering -Be Spontaneous (Just don't over-do it.) -Have a good court-ship -Get small gifts for your partner. Even if it's a dumb Hallmark card, make them laugh occasionally. -Surprise Meals (Do it up nicely, it's very easy) -Compliment each other -Leave random post-it notes with cute messages on them -Share moments, Have inside jokes. -Have good sex. Make a connection. (It's very important) -Be Mysterious Sometimes (Go away, don't always say where you're going) -Be corny sometimes (by this I mean corny sweet) you have to limit this though because it might become sickening haha. -Get him/her tickets to their favorite show -Party separately occasionally. It shows confidence and it's appealing. -Make sure to always laugh together. <div style="text-align: left;"> These are just a few small tips. If you Google "How to keep your relationship going", you can probably find hundreds of tips all over the internet. After watching Blue Valentine I thought it was appropriate for inspiration. I am in NO WAY promising these will work, especially when your dealing with a long, complicated relationship. I think if you feel something is worth saving, it's worth a shot. Don't regret it not trying for something you believe in. Blue Valentine is in theater's now and definitely worth seeing. From the tweets i was reading, It seemed to be a wake-up call for a lot of people and hit home. Check out the Soundtrack also out February 15th. <div style="text-align: center;">Oh and By the way... Ryan Gosling singing and playing the ukulele? PRICELESS </div><div style="text-align: center;"><iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/sYgr_iGATB4" allowfullscreen="" width="640" frameborder="0" height="390"></iframe> </div> Xo Nubia Xo Support My Blog: Follow my blog on Google Reader <a href="http://www.google.com/friendconnect/signin/home?st=e%3DAOG8GaBm1y5mvdA2t5O8jKaaDLF7%252FUeAHLrf6wO5a5bPAel9LL5e479yxiuayMlzT3wczNmqpO62qAqDF4XeMVvrPg7oex2zPtmITyPYCmjnb%252FtNNMtotzCMyArE%252BVwqO3U5uChINYuWHlhYCefMOuA22z3X3EwxmmP3JzoQsHPPKxzO3czV517WL2Jv8jFc1tdj2kIycAn8EZndkULQMeV9jBhKayJ%252BYVyUVWJnXnS3d%252BlBpmaS0O0%253D%26c%3Dpeoplesense&psinvite=&subscribeOnSignin=1">here</a> or on BlogLovin <a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/611382/">here</a>. Blue Valentine Review

What is love Oh baby, don't hurt me Don't hurt me no more -Haddaway I think Haddaway had the right idea. I saw Blue Valentine a few ...

Bridalplasty WTF?

<div>Okay.. This is really weird. It's sort of difficult to disturb me. This is why I want to say from the start, I'm not trying to make this a professional article right now or any sort of awesome editorial. I am simply writing down my thoughts on my blog because well.. it is MY BLOG. WHAT THE F@CK is Bridalplasty? I saw the preview/trailer for it on E yesterday for the first time. I am a fan of the E network and I must say I'm in utter shock. Women competing for tummy tucks, breast implants, face lifts and more. What the hell is going on? and the girls in the house look so nonchalant like this is a normal thing, to be going on national television and saying: I don't think I'm perfect enough for my husband.. I want a new face, breast etc. etc. I want to set a few things straight before anyone could judge my reaction 1. Your husband would probably not have agreed to marry you if he didn't want to marry you. ALSO if he married you on the conditions that you had to get surgery done, well ummmm... HELLO! KICK HIS ASS TO THE CURB! What kind of weird controlling demented shit is that? Seriously. 2. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST PLASTIC SURGERY. I'm not writing this trying to say "Oh, well no young women should consider plastic surgery" But however I do believe that E shouldn't be funding these surgery's and making them compete for them. Did they ever consider all the young viewers that would be watching this show? It is E after all, celebrity television. Young people will see this and think it's OK and normal and it's NOT. Women should not be insecure and feel that they need surgery to please a man. It's insecurities that should be helped in another form. You should not be sending out the message : Go ahead and change yourself and geez well, while your at it lets film it and make a show for ratings! This was not that kind of crap on television when I was growing up and I am GLAD AS HELL IT WASN'T. People get really influenced by this sort of stuff. So here is the shows description: <div align="center"></div><div style="text-align: center;">"Each week, a group of women competes head-to-head in such challenges as writing wedding vows and planning honeymoons. The winner receives the chance to choose a plastic surgery procedure from her “wish list.” She’s given the procedure immediately, and results are shown at the start of the following week’s episode. </div><div align="center">One by one, the women are voted out by their competitors and, according to the show’s description, “possibly walking away with nothing and losing [their] chance to be the perfect bride.” The last bride standing will receive a “dream wedding,” where she will reveal her new appearance to friends, family and the groom. “Viewers will witness his emotional and possibly shocked reaction as they stand at the altar and he lifts her veil to see her for the first time following her extreme plastic surgery,” E! said. <div align="left"></div> <div style="text-align: left;">Losing their chance to be the perfect bride? You've got to be kidding me. I wonder what would happen if the winner had some sort of complication and died. What sort of statement would be released? The wowen of the future should be encouraged to be strong and love themselves. Be smart and realize nobody is perfect and you would be surprised at how many people will love what you might think is an imperfection. I don't think I am anywhere near perfect but I'm not about to go under the knife over it. If these issues keep getting treated in such an apathetic matter people will believe this is well... Normal. Just to throw a silly and maybe stupid prediction out there... If everyone thinks it's fine to get surgery and look "perfect" than eventually every one will look perfect and the world will be boring and You know what? People will eventually love to find someone who DOESN'T look perfect because they are bored as shit of seeing everyone look the same! Some people need plastic surgery (due to medical conditions), I'm well aware of that. Like I said before I don't think it's wrong. It should be kept private, you shouldn't make girls compete over it. I mean watch the trailer yourself? Thoughts? <object height="385" width="640"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3BO413zRmbk?fs=1&hl=en_US"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3BO413zRmbk?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="385" width="640"></embed></object> </div><div style="text-align: left;">Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. We can agree to disagree but I will DEFINITELY Boycott this show and I'd hope a lot of you would join. </div> <div style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold;">**GIRL POWER** <div style="text-align: left;">xONubiaXo Don't forget you can follow my blog <a href="http://www.google.com/friendconnect/signin/home?st=e%3DAOG8GaCUS0vsZy3JgK%252FELSxj%252BDQJCV7wzKteeIHMs5GdbRMUsYLTx32eXGaDC2lzmXdoVitKv6dH9rNXZ72bIOD%252FrNll%252FX%252BdGb%252B1LBpdvcI73374EBP4c%252F3rPT6HJntZxM6e5JmypmsVO04%252B7h7jRQAt1S33ao%252BP%252Fh3wfDPL3d1mT%252B80YJ5Ihg%252BmDmZvPjG9fUsLy3%252BiEJ87cL%252FX2MxJpdTQocT9mihcXy45YW5Jx%252FwQ%252BHa7hVwBrwfZUigZOdQT8oQkAAm2j%252BrnxhRjPXhbWVmHch9sWK9Iag%253D%253D%26c%3Dpeoplesense&psinvite=&subscribeOnSignin=1">here</a> and <a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/611382/#">here</a>.
